navify
intelligent indoor navigation for the visually impaired — smart cane attachment

description

Navify transforms a standard walking cane into a smart indoor navigation system for visually impaired users. It targets spaces where GPS does not work well, such as malls, hospitals, offices, and campuses, and where visual signage is inaccessible.

The cane attachment scans NFC tags placed at navigation points, sends location context to the app, and uses Mappedin to calculate indoor routes. Voiceflow AI then delivers spoken turn-by-turn directions so users can move through complex buildings with more independence.

problem

Visually impaired users cannot reliably navigate complex indoor environments where GPS fails and signage is inaccessible.

key features
  • NFC tags at navigation points are scanned by a Bluetooth cane attachment
  • Mappedin provides precise indoor routing and positioning
  • Voiceflow AI delivers spoken turn-by-turn directions in real time
impact

Turns an ordinary cane into a smart navigator without requiring costly infrastructure changes.
