Hi, I'm Josh Wu, a Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I'm passionate about mechanical engineering and have a background in mechanical design. On the side I like to play around with software and firmware.
Most of my time is in SolidWorks: sheet metal, weldments, DFM, tolerancing, taking a design from sketch to something a shop can build. I'm a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE). Work I've designed has gone into P.Eng stamped industrial structures, bulk material handling systems, and 3D printed robotics mechanisms.
Open to mechanical design and robotics roles — automotive, industrial, research, doesn't matter much, as long as something real gets built.
Outside of that I play tennis. Based in Waterloo.
